 On October 24th at Stary Oskol Medical College, there took place the final stage of the 'My Pain' campaign, which was dedicated to children killed in terrorist attacks. Medical students remembered the events of October 2002 when terrorists captured Dubrovka during the second act of the musical 'Nord-Ost'.

Poisoned by the government — Moscow commemorates 'Nord-Ost' victims

On Sunday in Moscow they remembered victims of the attack on Dubrovka. Six years ago today was the tragic conclusion of the events of October 23–26, 2002. A theatrical center had been seized during a showing of the musical 'Nord-Ost'. 912 people were held hostage. 130 were killed, and more than 700 were injured.

 Six years ago, on October 23rd, 2002, a group of militants led by Movsar Barayev seized the theatrical center on Dubrovka during a showing of the musical 'Nord-Ost'. 923 spectators and artists were taken hostage. In exchange for the lives of the hostages, the terrorists demanded the immediate cessation of hostilities in Chechnya, and the withdrawal of federal forces from there. The militants' demands were not met, and the authorities went on the assault. 130 hostages were killed, and over 700 injured. The assault, which took place on October 26th, killed all 40 terrorists: 21 men and 19 women.
