 According to juror Yevgeny Kolesov, jurors in the murder case of Novaya Gazeta reporter Anna Politkovskaya wrote a statement to the judge, saying that they were not against the presence of the print media at the hearings.
«Today we wrote a general statement to the judge that on the day before yesterday and today we didn't make any statements (to the effect that the jury was against the presence of the press). We asked for the removal of video and TV cameras, but we aren't opposed to the participation of the written press in this trial,» Kolesov said on radio Echo of Moscow on Thursday.
He also said that he prepared a personal statement to the judge, requesting not to be considered a juror anymore, because he did not want «to participate in an erroneous court.»
