On Guryanov Street in Moscow a vigil commemorating the victims of a terror act was held |

 On Guryanov Street in the southeast part of Moscow a memorial vigil was held to commemorate more than 100 victims killed in a terror act eight years ago.
According to Interfax, on Sunday night friends and loved ones of the dead gathered by a memorial marker where an apartment building used to stand on Guryanov 19. They placed wreaths and lit candles by the marker.
In a nearby church a memorial service was held by the icon of the Holy Mother, «Joy to All who Grieve», which was placed there in memory of the victims of the terror act, and there was a moment of silence in honor of the dead.
About 200 people took part in the ceremony, according to RIA News, and the vigil concluded at 2 am.
According Alexei Biryukov, administrator for the «Pechatniki» city region, there will be a memorial plaque placed at the site of the blast, as well as 106 flowering bushes along the perimeter — the number of local residents who died 8 yeara ago.
As a result of the blast on Guryanov Street #19 on the night September 9th, 1999, two stairwells were destroyed. The blast wave even deformed an apartment building on nearby Guryanov #17. 106 were killed and another 933 were injured.
Adam Dekkushev and Yusuf Krymshamkhalov were found guilty of carrying out this terror act, as well as similar blasts on the Kashirsk highway in Moscow and in the city of Volgodonsk in September of 1999. On January 12th, 2004, they were sentenced to life imprisonment.
New high-rise apartments were built on the sites of the destroyed apartment buildings on Guryanov Street.
