Radio ‘Echo of Moscow’ news

Igor Trunov, the lawyer representing the victims of the terror act, told radio station ‘Echo of Moscow’ that the decision by the Moscow prosecutor’s office is difficult to explain. “The fact is, that there really was no investigation.” As Trunov explained, “the Moscow prosecutor’s resolution states that the investigation was being suspended because they were unable to determine the whereabouts of the accused. The document even reports that two persons are on the ‘wanted’ list.”

From another standpoint, the investigators determined that there were 52 terrorists. Forty of these were killed during the special operation, so it turns out that 12 got away. Two are on the ‘wanted’ list, but where the other 10 are is not known at all.

How goes the investigation into the case of the deaths at Dubrovka? Have they brought to task the special services employees who conducted the operation?

Malcolm Dando: And I suppose the dog that's not barked so far is the use of a fentanyl type agent by Russian special forces to break the Moscow hostage siege. That indicated that at least one country must have had quite large stockpiles, at least some training and a willingness to use a form of incapacitant.
