10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks: U.S. government steps up security  As the world prepares to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, there is information that terrorists plan to greet this date with yet another crime.
In 2001, three aircraft under terrorist control crashed into the twin skyscrapers of the World Trade Center in New York, as well as the Pentagon, while a fourth airliner crashed in Pennsylvania before it could reach the U.S. capital. Killed as a result of the terrorist attacks were nearly three thousand people: 2,606 at the World Trade Center towers, and 125 at the Pentagon. A special plenary session of the UN General Assembly, chaired by former Swiss president Joseph Deiss, will be devoted to the tragedies a decade ago. Arriving in New York, which underwent the major terrorist attack, was the amphibious transport ship USS New York — whose construction used by more than 7 tons of steel wreckage from the twin towers. The ship's motto: "Strength, forged through sacrifice — never forget. " On the ship is a collection of objects from the scenes of the terrorist attacks, as well as numerous photographs documenting the tragedy.
Memorial ceremony for the victims of the terrorist attacks Barack Obama will visit New York City and be the first president to participate in the main portion of the funeral ceremony — the reading of the names of the dead. Usually the relatives and friends of the victims of the terrorist attacks read the list. On the tenth anniversary a memorial complex will be opened at Ground Zero, the site where the twin towers once stood. On September 11th bereaved families and dignitaries will be allowed access, while all others who wish may do so next day. According to the latest information, however, Al Qaeda and similar gangs of monsters are also preparing for the 10th anniversary. “Reports that there is specific, credible, yet unconfirmed information about the threat of a terrorist attack, are true,” said US national security spokesman Matt Chandler. The federal government is coordinating activities with local authorities to alert citizens about a possible threat. Thus, the U.S. president has instructed law enforcement agencies “to redouble their efforts” to prevent a possible terrorist attack. According to a security agency representative who asked to remain anonymous, the search is already underway specifically for two or three persons who are suspected of trying to organize terrorist attacks for the coming Sunday.
