Moscow News Two years ago several hundred people — the 'Nord-Ost' hostages — were subjected to an unknown gas. Some of them died, the rest were hospitalized. The composition of the secret substance was declared a state secret (for greater detail, see the dossier). All that is officially known is that the gas was harmless: President Putin stated this personally for an American television network.

'Agentura' There was an unexpected, big break in declassifications last week. Apparently, after the events at Beslan, the Zamoskvorech'ye court decided to open access to some important documents concerning the investigation of tragedy at Dubrovka ('Nordost'). This is a positive step.
