This was a remarkable woman, one who was bright and beautiful.  She loved life very much and was sincere in her happiness with each beautiful minute of it; she enjoyed every little blossom and ray of sunshine, as well as her good-natured companions.  She liked to see happy faces and smiles, and to make the things around her beautiful.  It was no coincidence that she chose the profession of shoe artisan and modeler, and her collection was unique in its good taste and distinctiveness.

She also loved the home in which she toiled carefully over every object, everything, a home in which every corner still preserves the warmth of her soul.

And, of course, she loved her family.  She adored and was proud of her children, and worried whenever anyone got sick or fell into some misfortune.  It was with great pleasure that we gathered in the evenings after work to share our impressions of the past day, and our joys and sorrows.  She always had a good word for everyone.  At the same time she was a very strong person, one who came away from difficulties with honor, and kept her own morale high.

She was a lover of new impressions and enthusiastic about spending time with nature.  She loved evening walks, hikes, and vacations at the lake and the sea.  These calmed her, inspired her, and were a source of life energy for her.  She tried to teach her children to see this beauty, to show them life with nature, such as the beauty of a newly opened blossom, which many people fail to notice.

Her qualities were those of someone with a frail nature who at the same time was strong and decisive.  This all added to her unique charm.  Such people make our world richer and better.

It is very hard to express the pain of this loss.  Sometimes we would like to turn to her for help with things nowadays, or to tell her about something…  Alas, now it is only possible in our minds.  But her memory, her bright memory, will always remain in our hearts.

The Tovmasyan family.

Since April 3^rd, 2000, Lyudmila Vladimirovna Tovmasyan worked at the Uralobuv Corporation.

This charming, cheerful woman was the darling of the entire collective.  From the first moment, she transmitted to all her light, positive attitude and energy.  One can truly describe her as «a light in the window».

Lyudmila Vladimirovna worked with our organization as a stylist, and loved her work.  She published interesting articles on fashion trends, the correct way to buy footwear, and on many other themes.  She did extensive work with suppliers of footwear — since our area is characterized by severe continental climate extremes, our offerings to the residents of our city and district had to meet many parameters.

Lyudmila Vladimirovna was very attentive and responsive.  A shining example is her selfless act during the release of the first hostage, Natalya Sukhareva, who was pregnant.  A lot has been already written about this, and because of it Lyudmila Vladimirovna was recommended for a posthumous award.

October 26^th, 2002, the day of her tragic death, is a memorial date for our organization.  Every year on this day memorial candles are lit next to her portrait.  All who knew her meet at the cemetery to honor her memory.

Lyudmila Vladimirovna will remain forever in our memory as a radiant woman who loved life.  Pure and bright recollections of this remarkable person remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

A year after her tragic death, her beloved daughter Elizaveta, with the support of those people for whom the tragedy at ‘Nord-Ost' is not just an act of terrorism, but also their own personal pain, had printed a limited-run book, dedicated to «The Shining Memory of Lyudmila Tovmasyan.»
