Age 47; Russia, Moscow.

Sergey Savelev was born in Moscow on August 19^th, 1955.  His father was a chauffer, and his mother a cook. 

He was one of four children.  He began to study music in the Pioneer brass band, which he traveled with.  He finished the Ippolitov-Ivanov music academy, and later the Gnesin Institute (in I. P. Mozgovenko’s class). 

He worked as a soloist and orchestral inspector at the Operetta Theater, in the Nataly Sats Children’s Musical Theater, and in symphony orchestras under the direction of Pavel Kogan and Veronika Dudarova.  He was also in radio and television orchestras.
