Volodya graduated from the Kharkov construction institute and was a skilled specialist in the building trade.He always kept up on new techniques in his branch, and so he was able to work up from a simple foreman to chief engineer.One cannot even begin to count the number of production and non-production buildings that were built and put to use with his help.Volodya taught me an awful lot about construction, as well as drawing up estimates.When I had to build my own summerhouse it came out pretty good, and that is what I mean by him being a good teacher!
If someone needed help, then there was Volodya.He would always help you.He loved doing something nice or useful for someone, and never worried about the time or effort, how could one forget this?
How Volodya loved life.Yes, he really did.Everything living in nature, every leaf on a tree, every little bird fluttering from its nest, every little star in the sky – he loved it all.Biology, astronomy, physics, chemistry, radio technology, fishing, construction…One can try to list it all and run out of pages.It seems there was not anything that Volodya did not know.You could talk with him about anything, and he was a good collocutor.
Volodya loved nature a lot.The starlings still come to the perch that Volodya made, though the birdhouse has fallen over already.He named all those little wagtails that moved in with us on our plot of land.We named them Stella and Stepan.I never would have thought to name birds.Katya, my Persian cat, adored Volodya.The cat felt his attention and at times thought she was the mistress of his house.
Fishing was one of Volodya’s greatest pastimes.When we traveled to the OkaRiver, he wanted to catch a pike by hand, but was not able.Then on Tsna Creek he caught one with the rod and reel, and was happy for a long time.He put it in the pot and it made a tasty fish soup.
Volodya loved games: chess, checkers, nardy (Russian backgammon), and so forth.He taught me how to play nardy.Now I play pretty well, and so Volodya sometimes got mad when I won.
He was simply as ace at astronomy.He knew every little star by sight and could point to each place it was located.Sometimes Volodya was little a grownup boy.His dream was to build a telescope that could make out even the smallest little star, but he never got to.
Volodya, you will always remain in our hearts, and this source of love will never dry up, since it is infinite.

Володе исполнилось 49лет, а через шесть дней, на Дубровке в «Норд-Осте», а может по дороге в больницу, жизнь оборвалась, и человека не стало. 49 — это всего лишь половина, а сколько еще можно было успеть сделать? Жизнь….сколько она стоит? Она бесценна. Судьбой предначертано уйти в другой мир в определенный день и час, а что остается нам? Лишь воспоминания. Тяжело терять близкого, родного человека, но он уходит не навсегда. Он рядом — в наших мыслях, снах, сердцах.

Скоро будет 5 лет как ад Норд-Оста забрал моего брата, отца сыновей Сережи и Жени, и деда внука Максимки, благодетель Ларисы. Грустно и обидно, что в полном рассвете сил ушел прекрасный человек. Главное, что он в наших сердцах, всегда с нами.
3. С днём рождения Written by Сергей, on 21-10-2009 10:30 Для меня отец был, есть и будет идеалом отца, мужчины и просто человека. Думаю что внук будет знать о дедушке всё то, что знаю я, всё то хорошее что имеется в моих, пусть и детских, воспоминаниях. Сегодня день папиного рождения и я чем-то рад что нашёл эту страничку. За всех здесь отписавшихся, поднимаем бокал «Когора» всей семейкой. И за папку, и за его следующую жизнь, и за рыбалку. Спасибо Ларисе и Оле за прекрасные слова, дяде Мише за то, что чувствую опору, дяде Жене за то, как он похож, ну и всем остальным, кто зашел сюда, возможно случайно.

Спасибо, Сергей Written by Валя, on 26-11-2019 17:51 Сергей, не случайно мы заходим сюда…На страницы памяти жертв Норд-Оста, на страницу памяти Вашего папы…Воистину Светлой памяти…Их помнят, а раз помнят, они живы…И для Вас и для нас. Огромное спасибо родным, что поделились подробностями, их жизней. Читая воспоминания об этих замечательных людях, возникает теплое, очень важное чувство сопричастности. В который раз убеждаюсь, именно самые лучшие остались ТАМ, не спаслись. Как -будто нас спасли. Ведь я могла с сестрой пойти на Норд Ост, в то самое время были в Москве и рекламу читали.
