A public commission to evaluate the investigation into the Beslan tragedy has begun its work in North Ossetia. The commission was created it as part of the ‘Styr Nykhas’ all-Ossetia people’s movement. ‘Voice of Beslan’ public organization co-chairman Ella Kesayeva reported this to the REGNUM Information Agency on April 9th. The commission includes representatives from ‘Styr Nykhas’, the ‘Beslan Mothers’ committee, and ‘Voice of Beslan’. It is headed by the well-known North Ossetian lawyer and politician, first vice-speaker of the North Ossetian parliament Stanislav Kesayev, who led the parliamentary commission of inquiry into circumstances of the Beslan terrorist attack. “It is gratifying to note that Taymuraz Chedzhemov, the lawyer for the victims of the terrorist attack, is with us," said committee member Ella Kesayeva. "As well as the respected journalist Murat Kaboyev. The commission members intend to fully review all materials relating to the terrorist seizure of School № 1 in Beslan. In our work we will use data from the federal parliamentary commission that investigated the tragedy, similar to the legislative body of (Ossetian) republic, and listen to conclusions drawn by Yuri Savelyev, an MP of the Russian Parliament. We will jointly prepare a special report that we will issue in a few months. It will differ from Torshin Report (IA REGNUM: the report by the Russian parliamentary committee headed by the vice-speaker of the Federation Council, Alexander Torshin, which investigated the causes and circumstances of the Beslan tragedy), people need to know the truth about the Beslan tragedy.”
