Age 73 года, from Moscow, Russia.

Taisiya Aleksandrovna Petrova (nee Trushina) was born in the Yego revski region of the Moscow district in 1929.  She grew up and attended school in the Likino-Dulevo Orexovo-Zuevsky region.  After graduation she attended the entered Leningrad Institute, afterwards remaining in Leningrad (Petersburg) most of the rest of her life, working at the construction engineering institute.

Our grandfather played the violin and was a church choir director, and grandmother inherited his musical abilities, being able to sing and dance.  She also loved the theater.  During her student years she rented films in which world-famous stars played roles, and very much loved Dean Durbin.

She led a very active lifestyle.  In her daughter’s school she was the permanent chairman of the parents’ committee, and, at the request of the school directed, remained so a year after her daughter’s graduation.

She was a very beautiful woman, and possessed of an unusual charm.  She was always the life of the party, and was skilled in gather people around her.

At the start of Perestroika she was struck by a terrible tragedy.  Her daughter Julia and her four-year-old granddaughter Kristina immigrated to Israel, but while there Julia died under mysterious circumstances.  ‘Tasya’ loved her granddaughter very much, and Kristina adored her as well.  It was very difficult for Taisiya to bring her granddaughter back to Russia.  Years had passed, and Kristina had forgotten the Russian language.  Kristina was only 14 when Tasya died, and now lives in Saint Petersburg with her father and his mother.

When Taisiya retired, she returned to Likino-Dulevo to live with eighty-year-old mother, leaving her Leningrad apartment to her daughter.  There were fabulous stories about her here in our city.  She was such a clever and ambiguous woman.

Her whole life was extravagant, as was her death.  One of her relations said of her: “During her entire life she burned like a bright flame, and died just the same.”

She often had the same dream – that she wanted to run away from someone, but could not.  The day before she left here she had the same dream, and I (and not just I) also had bad dreams.  At the time I could not tell her them, but they came true.
